Boulevard’s Promise

A note from our founder, Anneli.

I started my career as a CPA. As I debated the switch to recruiting, I worried that the systematic, spreadsheeter in me would bore quickly. I was wrong.

Recruiting is joyful, particularly operating at the highest levels. Through building Palantir, Figma, and many more startups, I’m continually humbled and inspired by colleagues.

Working with experts in technical fields, I viewed recruiting as relatively easy. Again, I was wrong. I’ve learned the hard way that recruiting is not easy. It requires listening, comprehension and info retention, discipline to stay tight with the criteria and stay accountable through reporting, flexibility in style to meet the preferences of each hiring partner, multitasking, organization, attention to detail, persuasiveness, urgency, confidence, and tenacity.

A trend in recruiting lately is “recruiting as a service.” I get the reference, it’s clever! While redundant.

I spend a lot of time thinking about recruiting as a PRODUCT. As BLVD’s product. We simply have to be the best, particularly in this market. It’s why we obsess about excellence. Sometimes we joke here, while there’s truth to it, that if you’re not excellent you’re fired.

That’s why we built systems to ensure consistency in product. We aim to drive excellence with every search, and take great pride in it. Our goal is to raise the bar wherever we go. To set The Gold Standard as advisors.

Let’s set up a chat! I’d love to tell you about it.
